frequently asked

Answers, without the jargon.

01

What is a PPA and when should I tender one?

A PPA is a Power Purchase Agreement - the contract that sets what a buyer pays you for the electricity you generate. You should tender when your current agreement is approaching expiry, when market conditions have moved materially, or before commissioning a new asset so terms are competitive from day one.
02

How does certificate trading work?

Accredited generators earn ROCs, REGOs or Green Gas Certificates for the clean power or gas they produce. Those certificates have their own market value and can be sold separately from the electricity or gas. The first offer is rarely the best - placing them competitively across buyers is where real value is realised.
03

What does independent actually mean here?

It means no supplier affiliation, no exclusive panels, no tie-ins and no hidden commissions from a preferred counterparty. The remit is to secure the strongest terms in the market for the client, whoever that turns out to be.
04

Do you work with generators of any size?

Yes - from single sub-MW sites through to portfolios of tens of MW. The approach scales; the advice is tailored to what the asset can actually command.
05

How do monthly FiT payments improve cashflow?

FiT payments are typically made quarterly in arrears, sometimes up to 90 days after the end of the quarter. Switching to a monthly payment arrangement releases the same income roughly three months earlier and smooths the cashflow, without changing what you're paid overall.
06

Which parts of the UK do you cover?

The whole UK - England, Scotland and Wales. Advice is delivered remotely with site visits arranged when they add value.
